Sports fans are getting a fresh way to watch their favorite teams at home. ESPN and Fox are debuting individual streaming services on August 21, 2025, then launching a combined bundle this fall for added value and convenience.

ESPN’s standalone offering brings all of its networks—cable and streaming—into one place. For the first time, fans can subscribe directly to ESPN without needing traditional pay-TV. Priced at approximately $30 per month, the service includes everything from live games across major leagues to studio and original programming, plus enhanced app features like personalized content, on-screen stats, and integrated betting options.

On the same day, Fox will roll out its streaming platform, Fox One. Priced around $20 per month, this service includes programming from all of Fox’s channels—broadcast and cable—encompassing sports, news, entertainment, local affiliates, and business content. Fox One users who already subscribe to traditional cable can access content through their existing credentials at no extra cost.

Looking ahead, starting on October 2, fans will have the option to subscribe to both services together in one bundle for about $40 per month—saving roughly ten dollars compared to buying separately. This marks the first major sports streaming and media collaboration between ESPN and Fox since their failed joint venture, Venu Sports, was abandoned due to legal challenges.

Insiders say both companies are proceeding cautiously. Rather than chasing explosive growth, the aim is to expand into streaming while safeguarding their established cable revenue. Low-key launches, relatively high price points, and targeted marketing are designed to appeal primarily to viewers who have already cut the cord or never subscribed to cable in the first place.

This staggered introduction—individual launch followed by a bundled option—offers flexibility. Consumers can sample one service, opt for both, or rely on traditional cable without disruption.

In an increasingly crowded and costly streaming market, the partnership between ESPN and Fox offers clarity and choice. Whether you’re a die-hard college football fan, a casual news viewer, or just craving reliable sports coverage, these services aim to deliver what you want—without the clutter of inflated cable packages.
