Fire Destroys Moorhead Mobile Home, No One Injured

Fire officials in Moorhead are investigating a blaze that heavily damaged a mobile home early Wednesday morning. Crews responded to the fire around 2:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of 3rd Avenue South after receiving reports of flames coming from the home.

Battalion Chief Matt Brand said that when he arrived, he saw fire coming from the side of the house near the area where the furnace and water heater were located. Firefighters quickly went to work and managed to put out the flames within 15 to 20 minutes of the call. Fortunately, no one was inside the home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway to find out what started it. T

The West Fargo Fire Department and Moorhead Police Department are helping with the investigation to determine the source and cause of the blaze. Fire crews are also reminding residents to ensure that heating systems and furnaces are properly maintained, especially as temperatures drop during the colder months, to prevent similar incidents.
