August 2025 / ISSUE 03:Minnesota Launches $33 Million Small Business Investment

On June 23, 2025, Minnesota-based automation solutions provider Tavoron finalized the acquisition of Arkansas Industrial Machinery, a long-established distributor specializing in industrial air, gas, and fluid handling equipment. Founded in 1971 and headquartered in North Little Rock, Arkansas Industrial Machinery has built a strong presence across the Mid-South, operating additional locations in Memphis, Tennessee, and Bossier City, Louisiana.

This marks Tavoron’s first add-on acquisition since the company was acquired earlier this year by private equity firm Fusion Capital Partners. The move signals a deliberate push to broaden its geographic footprint and expand service capabilities across new markets.

Arkansas Industrial Machinery is widely respected for its expertise in repairing, servicing, and maintaining industrial compressors, vacuum systems, pumps, filters, control valves, and related systems. The company also offers preventative maintenance programs and urgent-response rental solutions, including the provision of industrial air compressors for time-sensitive needs.

By bringing Arkansas Industrial Machinery into its operations, Tavoron gains an experienced service team and a strong regional network. This integration is expected to improve Tavoron’s ability to respond quickly to customer needs in the southern United States, complementing the company’s existing strengths in automation and equipment solutions.

Headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, Tavoron delivers a comprehensive range of automation services to industries across nine U.S. states and parts of Canada. Its offerings include electrical and pneumatic automation, robotic integration, and compressed air technologies. The company employs around 400 people and serves a broad client base across manufacturing, distribution, and processing sectors.

Tavoron leadership described the acquisition as a strategic growth milestone. Arkansas Industrial Machinery’s established presence and strong customer relationships will accelerate Tavoron’s expansion plans while adding valuable technical expertise to its workforce. The aim is to enhance the overall service portfolio, expand product offerings, and increase operational reach into new territories.

For Arkansas Industrial Machinery, joining forces with Tavoron opens the door to additional resources, a larger network, and the ability to offer customers an even wider range of products and services. Company leaders expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining the high service standards that have defined their operations for more than five decades. Fusion Capital Partners, Tavoron’s parent company, views the acquisition as a key step toward building a more diversified and resilient business model. The addition of Arkansas Industrial Machinery strengthens Tavoron’s market position and supports its long-term growth strategy, which includes further mergers and acquisitions to expand both capability and reach.

The acquisition also underscores the importance of regional expertise in today’s competitive industrial landscape. Arkansas Industrial Machinery’s deep understanding of the needs of customers in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Louisiana provides Tavoron with a significant advantage in serving these markets. Coupled with Tavoron’s national resources and advanced automation solutions, the combined entity is positioned to offer a comprehensive suite of services to clients with varying operational demands.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, but industry observers see the move as a well-timed step that enhances both companies’ ability to compete and grow.

By integrating service operations, distribution channels, and technical teams, Tavoron and Arkansas Industrial Machinery can leverage their combined strengths to deliver faster, more efficient, and more reliable solutions to customers across a wider territory.

The deal represents a significant development for Tavoron as it builds toward becoming a more geographically diverse and technically robust provider in the industrial automation and equipment service sector. With the integration of Arkansas Industrial Machinery, the company is poised to strengthen its presence in the southern United States while laying the groundwork for future expansion into additional markets.
